A very classy hotel. We had a nice room with a view of the ocean. Good heating. Modern andpractical furniture. Upmarket ensuite bathroom. A good selection of tv channels.
The beds could have been a wee bit firmer.
The sea view was amazing. The bed was great being a SuperKing. Lovely Shower. Would stay there again.
No it was all good.
Had requested a walk in shower due to disability but I suspect the room reserved for us was not compatible so immediately upgraded with no adjustment to tariff. We were very impressed
Having no weather protection between room and reception/restaurant. I suspect a work in progress.
Everything, hotel was great staff were fantastic and very helpful. great location close to everything. Couldn't fault the place. Highly recommended I ended up staying 2 extra nights
It was a lovely, relaxing stay in excellent surroundings
They don't have sky TV in room
Excellent location, great room. Balcony is nice to see the sunset. Room was very comfortable.
No WiFi however in some rooms. Used the restaurant, nice staff but wasn't blown away by it.
Location to the beach, but also quality of accommodations.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded so our stay was way beyond what we expected. Live in the earthquake zone, Eastern Christchurch so the stay was more than we could have asked for.
Location, location, location! Friendly and helpful staff
Limited number of TV channels and lack of DVD player in room
The quiet location and the closeness to the ocean. Sitting on the balcony with pre dinner drinksand the lovely meal.
Watching the sunset with a platter of cheeses and a glass of wine.
Having to go outside in the rain to walk to the cafe for breakfast.
I held a Meeting at the same location and all staff involved in that were very accommodating.
The photo on Booked.net, shows a modern 2 storey resort, I was given a very ordinary room in the dowdy old building and when I mentioned it, I was given a very frosty response, saying "did you really expect to be given a room there for the $99. price?" . "Well, yes, that's what the photo showed, thats what I expected"
We got upgraded for free, and the hotel room was very nice and cosy and very good location.
The Beachfront Hotel at Hokitika is a great place to stay. We have now stayed there twice whilst passing through on holidays from Australia. It is very secure you cannot enter the building unless you have a key, it is overlooking the ocean with balconies to sit out and enjoy the view and sound the room and bathroom have very nice fittings etc I would not stay anywhere else in Hokitika now. You can walk out of the Hotel and be at the shops and restaurants straight away.We had dinner at the Hotel resaurant and it was impressive and large enough also. Very Impressed.
